The Atlantic ConnecTions Conference provides an opportunity for women and their male colleagues in SETT from Atlantic Canada to create networks, share stories and experiences, and to develop action items with the common goal of advancing women in SETT.
With the leadership of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) Atlantic Chair for Women in Science and Engineering, Dr. Tamara Franz-Odendaal, Professor of Biology at Mount Saint Vincent University, the first Atlantic ConnecTions conference was held in Sackville, NB, on June 4-5, 2015. The conference brought together seventy participants from a cross-section of industry, education, government, and not-for-profit organizations from the Atlantic region. The second conference took place in Halifax, May 3-4, 2017. The 2019 ACT Conference will take place in Charlottetown, PE.
